Video of Ground-Breaking Ceremony - Oct. 15, 2010
        

A special puja was conducted in the shrine from 8:30AM - 10:00AM that was then followed by a ground-breaking ceremony conducted in the Vedanta chapel from 10 AM - 11:30 AM to mark the formal beginning of the Chapel building extension. Prayers, chants and short talks were presented by local Senator, Faith leaders representing Jewish, Protestant, Catholic, Muslim, Unitarian, Cristian Science and Hindu religions, and other community leaders. Everyone then participated in the symbolic 'ground-breaking' event outdoors, with gold-tipped shovels. Buffet luncheon followed.
