Summary
of this lecture:
Starting from this fall session, this is the new text for the Fri evening
weekly Vedanta class. The universality, practicality and clarity of
the Bhagavad-Gita was emphasized in the introductory discussion. The
message comes from Lord Krishna, an incarnation of God to a worthy disciple
Arjuna. It is penned by the great sage Vyasa in a language and style
that makes reading and understading of the message becomes easy. As
the scripture for all human beings and for all times, it presents the
goal of human beings and the path. Bhagawad-Gita is called 'mother'
because of the loving concern and care with wchich the knowledge is
imparted by it. The intro. Discussion will continue in the next class
too.
