II.53:
When your mind that has become bewildered by hearing will become
unshakeable and steadfast in the Self, then you will attain Yoga that
arises from discrimination.

Summary
of this lecture:
The goal should always be practical. What could be more practical than
knowing 'WHO am I? The attempt to find this will succeed because, as
Sankaracharya puts it, it's a science about something that "is"
(as against the science of illusory things); and therefore it will culminate
in actual experience of it.
We reach our destination by doing our duty, without attachment or concerns
about name and fame. Vivekananda said in 'Karma Yoga': "It is the
most difficult thing in this world to work and not care for the results".
It will obviously demand a lot of practice for a long time. We need
patience and perseverance.
So do not ask 'How long will it take to achieve the ultimate goal?'
Till the mind becomes steady and till it goes beyond all doubts, one
has to continue relentlessly. When you rest in samadhi, then you've
attained yoga. Arjuna wants to know how a perfected person talks and
acts. These are the signs of one established in samadhi. Once you find
out, you can imitate/follow that person as a role-model and become like
him
Many interesting questions/comments followed.
